One of Britain's top entertainment venues, this impressive, modern, 1,900-seater concert hall is home to the National Orchestra of Wales. Musicians, artists and orchestras from around the world queue up to perform here because of its excellent acoustics. St David's Hall stages the very popular Cardiff Singer of the World competition, the Welsh Proms, performances by the National Orchestra of Wales and a diverse range of other classical concerts, shows and solo performances. Temporary art exhibitions on all levels are free of charge and change on a regular basis. There is also a popular restaurant and a spacious lounge bar (complete with coloured glass screen) which was a present from Cardiff's twin city, Stuttgart.

Lunchtime Concert Series Sep 22nd, 2009 to Jan 26th, 2010 1:00PM
The long-running and popular lunchtime concert series at St David's Hall features work by small ensemble groups and soloists as well as the occasional piece for a full orchestra. It's an ideal chance to pop into the concert hall and hear something a little different. There's at least one concert a month throughout the season, all starting at 1:05pm and lasting approximately 50 minutes. The coffee shop and restaurant are open for light lunches and drinks.
Orchestral Concert Series Sep 29th, 2009 to May 12th, 2010
This is St. David's Hall's most popular concert series, running from September to May every year, with concerts approximately every three weeks. Featuring the world's finest orchestras, conducters and soloists, the programme is mainly composed of well-known classics with works by Tchaikovsy, Rhachmaninov, Beethoven and Brahms. Many of the concerts are suitable for children and families are actively encouraged to attend with special discounts on seats and children's activities in the programme notes.
