Unparalled Luxury
Talk about spectacular - this hotel has it ALL! Luxury, cleanliness, attentive and courteous staff, great food, great pool, wonderful views. we loved it!!! stayed for a week as our base in Rome with a balcont overlooking the Vatican and Rome itself. It was especially beautiful at night!!!!! I cant say enough about the place and yes it is expensice however unlike other expensive hotels we all felt it was worth it. I would reccomend this hotel to all.

There are better hotels in Rome
There are better hotels in Rome. Yes the room are lovely but the location is awfull if you go to Rome stay in the center the bus service is marginal and on may days was full and people were turned away. I was there for a week and they do nickel and dime you. When we were there the hotel just changed to an Astor hotel so even as a diamond member there was no club lounge. The Grand Hotel di Roma is a better option.

Everything was overpriced. Perhaps it was priced to pay for the over-valued artwork on the walls in the lobby. The staff in the restaurant was

The best hotel I have ever stayed at
After two weeks of touring all over Italy I was pleasantly surprised to stay my last night at this wonderful hotel. The staff was very polite and spoke English exceptionally well which was a great way to welcome you to the hotel. The room had the only queen bed we had on our trip and also the only time we had extra pillows. The room was fully equipped with everything we needed and it was the only time that we had so many English TV stations. In the outside park we had a wonderful walk before going to the pool and it was a beautiful view of Rome. The park also had about 20 cages of exotic birds which where beautiful too. We had two different piano players in the lounge overlooking the outside patio and pool; a different one before and after dinner. The dinner was very good but expensive and it was the only time I had really al dente pasta that tasted great but was pretty chewy. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to relax and have a little luxury.

The Best of Rome,Italy
This Hotel is the best sure its pricey but if you have the money to support it its totally worth it. The food is wonderful and the service is great. It has a wonderful view of Rome. If you to the terrace level the sight is wonderful and its a sight you wont forget. The service and everything in general is outstanding its a must stay hotel and not to mention a must see its about a mile form the vatican and about 2 and a half hours from venice also. If I had about 20 thumbs I would put them all up its that great.

Wonderful if your budget is UNLIMITED!!
I booked this hotel in the middle of a 10 day family trip to Italy. I feel I spared little expense as the trip cost in excess of $24,000 (air, hotel and some private tours, and airport/hotel transport....not food etc.)When I checked in, I was handed a nice appology for the closing of the indoor pool for some repair, it would be open the day after we were checking out, with the hope that it wasn't an inconvience. It was. The hotel is lovely and staff extremely attentive, but the location is inconvient and I could have stayed at another more convienently located hotel with or without pool for the same or MUCH less money. Also, I couldn't get to the roof top bar, because it was closed on the Monday evening I arrived, and it was booked the next 2 nights. I was offered nothing for the inconviences. I would suggest the Westin Excelsior for equal luxury and better location.

ABSOLUTELY one of the BEST places to stay!
My husband and I visited Rome last September (2007). Due to the fact that he is a frequent traveler and stays at Hilton properties quite often, we selected a Hilton property while in Rome. Bottom line: We were not disappointed. While there we stayed on the Concierge level and the rooms were elegant and the view of Rome was spectacular. We received the highest level of service, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However, the best part of the hotel is their beds. After walking the city of Rome and visiting other nearby towns, we could count on a great nights sleep. We melted into our bed at night. When my husband and I returned to States we tried to find a bed that replicated what we had at the Cavalieri, but it just could not be done. There is so much more that makes this a great hotel...like the little touches of leaving a fresh pair of slippers beside the bed each day.

One of the finest hotels I've ever stayed in..
My partner and I used our Hilton Honors points to stay at this hotel at the end of November. As a "Diamond" member, we were treated as royalty from the moment we arrived until our departure. It began with a personalized check-in, escort to our room, box of candy in the room, etc... The staff was exceptional. The rooms were unbelievable with views of the Vatican and Rome. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but provides a complimentary shuttle to the main shopping district in Rome.
