I was at Aloha Tower Marketplace for their Cinco de Mayo party and I had a blast. I didn't think they would celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Hawaii but they did it very well there. They had characters dressed up as the three amigos passing out free party beads and that was fun. I guess it was a block party event because they had a whole bunch of people dancing salsa in the center with a geat salsa band playing and the restaurants were off the hook. The nice thing about it was that the place was spacious so that it wasn't your crazy shoulder to shoulder block party. There were a lot of people there but still had enough space to move. I had a blast and I'm looking forward to another Cinco de Mayo Fiesta agian next year.

We went here twice during our trip--once to eat at the famous Don Ho grill, and again to try Chai's, which we found out on the first time was an award winning restaurant. We arrived early to watch the sunset, very romantic! Since we had time before dinner we decided to walk around. I fell in love with the store at the entrance that sells stuff for island homes and got some lovely items to decorate our place to remind of us our time in Hawaii. Then I bought some things from Bad Ass coffee, what a funny name for a store! But they had good coffee and other items that I gave to my sister and best friend when I got home. The Aloha Tower is a nice place to wander around before or after dinner, with many island items. I like the space, very airy.
