Marché de la Croix Rousse

Lyon's Most Popular Market
If you love local products, hang around this quiet and convivial market located in a working-class neighborhood. The Marché de la Croix-Rousse seems to be the most popular food market in Lyon. The stands are full of fresh and appetizing fruits and vegetables. You will also find meat, flowers and cheeses. On Saturdays, an organic farmer market completes the daily market. On Tuesdays, the food market is extended with a huge manufactured goods market. Friday through Sunday the market closes an hour later.

Rummage to Find Bargains Here
One side of the boulevard is the food market, the other side is the fairground market. On the trestles, you will find everything: fabric, shoes, umbrellas, knick-knacks, notins, dishes, mattresses, second hand clothing... and smooth talkers who try to sell you their miracle products or five bottle of eau de toilette. The crowd is colorful, cosmopolitan, you can meet people and chat, you can rummage and discuss how to find a bargain. It is worth noting that there are other fairground markets in Lyon in the 2ème, 3ème, 5ème, 7ème, 8ème and 9ème arrondissements.

Marché au sapins de Noël - Place de la Croix-Rousse

This is a Christmas tree market.

I would not return to the hotel. First because of the price, then because of cleanliness...
