Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 28 2009 My best hotel experience ever! This hotel is wonderful and living there made my Hawaii vacation! It was clean, they gave you a little present every day ... The service was amazing and discrete, the people beautiful and I loved the idea with fresh fruit everywhere, flowers, ice cream by the pool, all the small things ... A bit expensive but, you get what you pay for.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 25 2009 Go back? I think not. I was very disappointed in this hotel. Housekeeping left the doors to our rooms open while they cleaned rooms down the hall. Also, a one-of-a-kind doll was taken from my room on the second day I stayed there. They refused to look for it either - I thought maybe the housekeepers had accidentally grabbed it with the sheets & taken it to the laundry. It wasn't exactly a place to go to relax either - it was a bit unnerving to have guards everywhere watching every move you made. I understand the security aspect, but the amount of "watching" made me a little uncomfortable.

Hawaii is just amazing! And you find great deals on Hawaii Craigslist go to which Island you want (kauai) and if you go there go to princeville a 5 star community like this one!
Reviewed by: gotmaria from on Oct 22 2008 Oh My Goodness! I Love It There! They were so nice! It's now an inside joke with me and my dad because I now call concierge his best friend because he was constantly talking to them and asking questions and asking for things... they helped him to find this ribbon-magnet with a Hawaiian saying on it; it took them 3 days to find it. But most of all, after that whole thing, they were observant enough that, even though I hadn't approached them yet, when I finally did, they referred to me by name. They are so cool, nice, sweet, smiley, etc. I had no complaints aside from the food pricing but... you're in Waikiki! Right across the street is a Roy's and half a block away are a whole bunch of restaurants. I LOVE the HALEKULANI!!!

Reviewed by: golfgrll from on Jul 31 2008 The most perfect hotel in Hawaii We went to Hawaii for a 2 week vacation and this was the first and best hotel we stayed in. The in room registration was unexpected and the service was beyond comparison. Needless to say, although we stayed in other 5 star rated hotels, this one deserved all 5 stars! Working in an area where customer service is key, I must tell you that the Halekulani is where employers should send their staff to "learn what true customer service means"! Our view was beautiful, the grounds were immaculate, and the food outstanding! But it was the service that was beyond the pale. I am extreamly nit-picky for that price and I didn't have even one thing to even suggest any improvement! Go and learn what it means to be valued!
