Back to Duxton Hotel Enjoyable for night away! Liked that it was close to town.De Luxe Room by name only it was actually quite outdated and more of a budget room. Not one I would recommend as I know there are far superior ones around the same area!

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 19 2006 The suites are superb! Myself, my wife and 6 mo baby stayed in a suite here on our way through New Zealand. While expensive by New Zealand standards, what you get is very worth the money if the exchange rate is in your favour. My boy still plays with Duxton the Bear who came free along with the champagne on our first night! The rooms are huge with a great view over the harbour and the service is wonderful. You are more or less right across the street from the superb Museum of New Zealand, and a short stroll into the heart of the city. Wellington is great and this hotel made the stay even better!
