Back to Beverly Hot Springs THE BEST EXPERIENCE..HEAVEN!!!!! I don't know why there are bad reviews of this place..i've been going there for many years and expecially recently my experience has been amazing..i am adicted to this place and so are my friends..especially since they reduced their entrance fees it has been such a treat for my hectic life..Always a nice surprise to see a list celebrities as well..You can't beat the fact that this is the only hotsprings within the area and this is the only thing that helps with my aching joints..the guy in the front desk is always so plesant and helpful..i just love the body scrubs beats any of the other copycat spas..this is the real deal..can't go wrong in my eyes of a great relaxing day!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 10 2007 SKIN irritation, Over charged for something did not ask. Fever. Scars....just a terrible experience & no response from them I went to get BODY care package. During the treatment, I asked the person to not massage too hard, but she kept doing hard to the point of my skin start hurting. Meanwhile, she did BODY scrub and BODY care treatment which I only asked for Body Care. Later, owner Eddie asked me to pay for the extra $40 per person for Body Scrub which I did not ask in the first place. Since I was inviting my client, I did not want to be embaraced, so I end up paying for both of us. The worst is after that. My client and I both had terrible skin irritation and scars with fever for a week. There were many bumps and some of them left scars. I believe that was from Body scrub which we did not ask for. I took a photo and email to the owner to ask for the reimbursment, but owner has been ignoring for weeks. I also heard other people had a terrible experience. But mine is for real. I wish I could attach photo to show how terrible the skin looked, and I am certain that no one wants to go there.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 20 2007 Downward Spiral I have been going to the Beverly Hot Springs since 1995 and in the past two to three years (since manager Eddie left), things have gone from bad to worse. They just raised their prices again, so admittance is now a ridiculous $50 M-TH and $60 Fridays and weekends. A massage (also gone up to $100) is on top of this, and you cannot have a massage without paying admittance regardless of if you use the waters or not. Being a Korean bath house, I have always overlooked the lack of bells and whistles over the years (though it should be noted that other Korean bath houses in town that I know of are around $15 admittance, which is waived if you have a treatment). Here, as the prices go up, the quality goes down. Electrical socket covers are coming off the walls. New tile has been replaced with the cheapest possible and shabbily placed over areas of disrepair they dont even line up. Trimming the tile is disregarded and left with unfinished grout where the previous trimming was removed. There is no where to sit to dry your hair (unless you like sitting on cold, marble counters and twisting to see yourself in the mirror) and what minimal products are supplied are the cheapest quality possible. If you forget to bring your own, the smell and quality of what is supplied will awaken you from any bliss after a treatment. Forget robes they supply thin, nasty long t-shirt type things. The towels are so small, good luck trying to get it around you if you weigh more than 120 pounds and some are so thin, they have holes in them. The locker area smells and the lockers themselves are worn out high school ones, which you have to pay a quarter every time you want to open. All this for $60!! The whole experience is downright offensive and I wont be going back. As I understand it, their logic for their extortionately high prices is that they are the only game in town with natural hot springs, but this escapes me. On the upside, the practitioners are second-to-none, but I doubt if they are given any more consideration than the customers, if not worse. In my wildest dream, Burke Williams take over and give this spa the respect it deserves, run it properly and stop ripping people off.
