Wonderful Lyon
To go to Basilique de Fourvière you must take what we call a "funiculaire" which is some kind of very old little trolley. It is quite scary I must say, especially when it's raining and the noise around is like criiic craaac. But once you're on top, you have the most amazing view of the city, especially at night. Lyon is not a city with all skyscrapers and giant places, it is an old city filled with history, and the architecture here is amazing. The Basilique reflects quite well the atmosphere of the city, it's both grandiose and mysterious. It's really worth visiting !

city of lights
From la Fourvière you can oversee Lyon and the amazing lights of the city. Today is the Light day, too bad your sight does not have pictures of this feast that occurs every year on Dec. the 8th.

The most beautiful place in Lyon!
From the Basilique de Fourviere you can see almost all of Lyon. I went in the late winter so there weren't many tourists and the atmosphere was breathtaking.
