Perfect Romantic Getaway
You have to make reservatons at the hotel restarant, Bambara. Five star food and presentation, none better. Got romantic package, well worth money spent. Only complaint would be the adjacent room noise in the hotel. Hotel staff was the best we have experienced in many years.

Disappointing, to say the least
I've had better experiences at a Motel 6. "Small" doesn't do the room size justice -- try "cramped." I couldn't even roll my suitcase past the bed! I was there in winter and couldn't adjust the room temperature above an unpleasantly cold level (couldn't have been higher than 60 degrees). The parking was a mess, and I unwittingly parked in a private lot and received a ticket because I didn't pay (hey, it LOOKED like it belonged to the Monaco and I was DIRECTED to park there by a Monaco parking lot attendant). They offered me a goldfish to keep me company. I told them I'd set it free in the Jordan River if they did. Fish aren't a substitute for friends, thanks. On the positive side, I thought the colors of my box/room's decor looked great, and I got along really well with the housekeepers, who spoke Spanish with me and gave me a handful of tasty chocolate mints. I wouldn't stay at the Monaco again if they comp'd me the room. I visited friends staying at the new Grand America...now THAT's luxury.

Upscale Pet-
I stayed at the Hotel Monaco here in Salt Lake City & in Denver as they are probably the most upscale pet-friendly chain.

I loved it!!
I loved my stay at Hotel Monaco. I travel on business frequently and have stayed at a number of nicer hotels, but none of them compare to the atmosphere at Hotel Monaco. The decor was beautiful. I love the free wine, massages. The fish in your room was a nice touch and I loved the yoga basket. I only wish that they had them all over the US so that I could choose one everytime I travel. Wonderful hotel!!

I love this place!
Ok - so I had to travel to Salt Lake City this past year - every other week for almost the entire summer. I stayed here every time I could - but landed at the Little America and the Marriott City Center for at least one week each - so I have comparison. The Monaco is fabulous - the others while nice and comfortable pale in comparison. The service here is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxing - the wine hour rocks! the free massages are heavenly. They always make me feel like I am home. And there is nothing else like seeing some famous people relaxed enough to enjoy themselves - they treat my privacy and all guests as paramount. I really appreciate this team of people. When I think of customer service and the best examples of it, I think the Monaco - OH, and the restaurant is fantastic!!

Fabulous experience
This hotel was amazing. From the luxurious mini-suites, to the beds that you literally "sink" into, and getting your own pet Goldfish, this place catered to your every want and need. It is also a pet friendly hotel. It had a CD player and audio system in the room so you could even bring your own music from home. I won't ever stay anywhere else in Salt Lake City.

Adorable hotel!
I loved the decor in the room. From the cozy down bedding to the elegant marble bathroom it was all beautiful. My boyfriend took me there for Valentine's day and the employees there were nice enough to help him make the room more romantic by helping him spread rose petals all over the room and set out wine and champagne. We loved everything about the hotel. I can't wait to stay again.
