Owned in part by the Chieftans, some of the best known Irish musicians of all time as the bartenders will be happy to inform you, the Shaskeen has a laid-back vibe although the crowd is a slightly older mix than other bars in town. Live music and open mic nights are standard in the back room. Over the bar are a variety of interesting memorabilia, including one of Chieftan’s numerous Grammy Awards. Local and national beers can be found on tap, as well as a good selection of bottled beers.
