Every June and July, eight 'pyromusical' fireworks shows are presented in Montreal; the closing finale is one of largest such events in the world. International competitors representing their respective countries fight for prizes, and the competition can be seen from just about anywhere in Montreal (Mount-Royal and the Jacques-Cartier Bridge are two favourite spots). For a real close-up treat, there is nothing like a VIP seat at La Ronde. Fireworks are presented most Wednesdays and Saturdays.
