Every year in February, some of the best women in tennis gather on the indoor court in Stade Pierre de Coubertin for this Tier II tournament. Since the first edition in 1993, major world players like Steffi Graf, Martina Hingis, Serena Williams or Mary Pierce have challenged their rivals on the greenset surface. With a capacity of 4,800 seats, the tournament is smaller than the French Open or the BNP Paribas Master Series, but still of importance in feminine tennis.
