Place des Arts' second-largest theatre seats 1,500 in a traditional orchestra and two balcony set-up. Like the other halls in the complex, the Maisonneuve stresses acoustics and sightlines over flashy architecture and other frills; it is home to the Société Pro Musica the Orchestre Métropolitain and parts of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens' season, as well as to other seasonal and one-off tenants during the Jazz and Just for Laughs festivals.
