This former nursing home, Hermitage is now a branch of one of Russia's prized museums. Located directly on the water, the building presents an interesting history of the city and its people. Past exhibits have included: Greek Gold, Venezia!, and Pilgrim Treasures.

Caspar David Friedrich's have been taken by the Hermitage museum at Amsterdam from the one at Saint-Petersburg for exhibition purposes. The main works of the renowned German artist will be on display here. Visitors can also take a look at the paintings of other painters of the era. 'Art at its best' is probably the best adage to describe the work displayed here!
