One of the area’s oldest and less glitzy shopping complexes, Tanglin Shopping Center has four levels carrying merchandise that is far older. Singapore's largest collection of Asian antiques and antique maps is found here--pricey, but avid collectors say they are generally worth the pick. In addition to its main specialty, the mall has a variety of tailors, eateries and shops selling exquisite Persian, Pakistani and Afghan carpets. Other niche offerings include Nevada Bob's comprehensive selection of golf equipment and CT Hoo's Mikimoto pearls from Japan.
