Beneath the conspicuous towering pagoda of the Singapore Marriott Hotel is the emporium of Mr C K Tang, selling quality merchandise at medium-range prices since 1932. In contrast to its distinctive green roof and red pillars, the glitter and glamor within this mall is reminiscent of Paris' Galleries Lafayette.
