Westward from Nantucket Town is the Madaket Bike Path, leading to the village and beaches of Madaket. Point to point about 5.5 miles, the entire stretch through the lush countryside is a scenic vista. The Madaket Bike Path culminates at Madaket Beach, just in time to catch the magnificent sunset it affords. For the more adventurous, there are two other bike paths branching out from here (the Cliff Road Path and the Eel Point/Dionis Beach Path). Nantucket is dotted with bike rental stores (Island Bike Rental,Young's Bicycle Shop, Easy Riders Bicycle Rentals) and most of them provide color coded maps of the trail.
