When this multi-purpose venue was opened in 1963, it was the only major performing arts center in the city, as the rest had been destroyed during World War II. Since that time it has been home to some of the top performances in the region, hosting a range of musicians that includes the Nuremberg Philharmonic and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestras. In addition to the musical performances, this complex also hosts corporate meetings, galas, and other major events. Surrounded by lush gardens of Luitpold Grove, the impressive building serves as a monument to Germany's reconstruction after the war.
