Located on the southern tip of the Marine Drive promenade, the National Center for the Performing Arts—or NCPA, as it's popularly known—is Mumbai's premier socio-cultural center. Set up for the preservation and promotion of classical, traditional and contemporary performing and visual arts, this multi-faceted facility has theaters, art galleries, reading and listening libraries and a music research lab among other things. Mumbai International Film Festival

Motley Theatre Festival

Motley Theater Festival is a fairly recent addition to Mumbai's theater map, but a brilliant one for sure! Plays staged by the famous Naseeruddin Shah-led Motley Theater Group enthrall the audiences across the city. From full-length classical dramas to subtle one-act plays, the festival is a celebration of theater. "Waiting for Godot", the widely renowned modern classic by the group, is usually staged in every edition of the festival. Amazing Hindi plays are also enacted, amidst wide applause of the audience. Motley Theater Festival is growing each year!
