Every year, the Northern California Bluegrass Society holds a musical extravaganza with a multitude of activities to entertain the denizens of the clubs in the Bay Area, called the Bluegrass & Old-Time Festival Conducted in more than 20 such hotspots, the festival is a cornucopia of square-dance and jam sessions, banjo and fiddle workshops, kids’ programs, film screenings, radio entertainment and "Bluegrass in the Schools" shows. About a hundred bluegrass and old-time groups, such as The Wilders and The Earl Brothers keep the crowds on their toes by belting out some charming numbers from their repertoire.
