Back to Karori Wildlife Sanctuary A must-see in Wellington Karori Wildlife Sanctuary was fantastic! The vision of restoring the forest and wildlife that sadly were exterminated from the main islands of New Zealand is mind-boggling. So far they've made a great start - we saw tuatara, kaka and many other special native wildlife. We couldn't do the night tour but we hear it's fabulous.

I expected a lot to see, i only get to know what i should see if tehe conditions would be perfect. Meet other people with the same feeling. I have seen s lot more native bird around the country for free. Keep Your Eyes open and don“t pay money here.

You see and hear native birds not now found anywhere else on the mainland of New Zealand like saddleback and hihi. On a night walk you can hear kiwi and see glow worms, and star gaze on clear nights
