Favorite Among the Locals
M-F 9a-6p, Sa 10a-6pA Play on Words
No — this festival has nothing to do with Shakespeare, much as the name suggests it. In fact, the films that are showcased here at this biennial event are of a scientific nature, with a twinge of the futuristic in them. Creation of the world, the beginning of mankind, micro-universe and macro-universe, are some of the topics discussed. Other productions include plays and documentaries by famed local writers. The festival offers workshops and discussions by experts in the field, such as Anatoly Vassilyev and Adolph Shapiro. It takes place at the fag end of the year and draws inspiration from the season’s festivities. It closes with a grand New Year celebration that is a fitting reward to those who participated in and attended the show. Check the website for more details.
