Back to Precita Eyes Muralists Precita Eyes Muralists A Must See This alley was created as a place for the local artists to paint murals that would be left in peace. The murals are political, or even just about the struggle of the local people. It is located at 54 Balmy Avenue if you have a chance go visit you will not be disappointed. I would recommend that you also walk around the Mission District and view other murals that are in the neighborhood. It is free, and educational. I believe there are tours daily for free so it is worth a visit. http://www.precitaeyes.org/
Reviewed by: TaliseS from on Sep 07 2008 Lovely day in the city. We walked around the Mission/Valencia and here are a couple of photos from that day. We also stopped for some raw honey, rye crisps/blue cheese and tea at Samovar(sp??) tea house. It was an amazing day.
Reviewed by: SHERRY from on Dec 12 2006 Amazing! This wonderful place gives people the chance to engage in one of the greatest art forms: murals. It keeps the culture of the neighborhood alive and educates those passing through even if simply by sparking their curiosity that drives them to discover more. The art is beautiful and full of history! If you miss this you've missed so much of San Francisco. A must see.
