Back to Hotel Equatorial Shanghai Good Location but over priced The location is good. But the service is soso. It could be a great place. Expensive for the quality of room. The rooms smelled of some organic cleaner. Had to move rooms. There was some construction going on.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 30 2007 Lethal combo- Dirty hotel? Rude hotel staff location wise , this hotel has all going for it. Centrally located. within walking distance to all touristy sites. On the minus side, the hotel is dirty. It was undergoing going some renovation work. Noxious smell of paint pervades the lobby and the whole building. Staff rude and unhelpful. Hotel even charges 30 RMB for changing air plane tickets. Hotel also charges 100 RMB for the use of Jacuzzi in the health club. Overall, best skip it. Worst trained staff ever. Arrogant and unhelpful !
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 05 2005 Dirty swimming pool I stayed here last a few months ago after seeing a special deal on the XianZai email website for some of the food and recreation. On the first afternoon I went to their pool and there was scum and hair in one corner. It was horrible. It was not a little, but lots of dirt. The staff quickly cleaned it up but I did not want to stay in the pool any longer.
