Back to Russell Hotel (The) great value Great location. Remodeled old hotel [walk up to desk and rooms]. Good service and clean. Free breakfast was very good. Worst feature was toting bags up to registration and room or rating would have been excellent.

The only good thing about this hotel were the jelly beans in the lobby. We left after one night of a planned four night stay and went to the Intercontinental.

If staying in a homey time warped hotel sounds like fun to you, try this hotel. I got a room with a shared bathroom down the hall. This ended up not being a big deal, but it felt a bit off considering the $140AUD paid for the room. But what we saved on the great breakfast each morning and in cab fare, since we were right at the travel hub and in the Rocks historical area with great bars and restaurants, made up for it. I'd stay there again. It was convenient and enhanced my Sydney experience.
