Beyond your everyday quilt, this piece of sewing mastery is conceived on a scale to match the buildings it commemorates, at 8 feet high by 30 feet wide. All 50 states are represented by panels on the quilt, put together by the Steel Quilters of the American Steel Corporation.

One those artists fated to not have their talent truly recognized pre-mortem, Chambers' work is now on display in all its bold, lively and colorful glory. The exhibit features a number of objects such as ceramics, furniture and books alongside Chambers' paintings as an exploration of his inspiration and contemporary audience. Curated by Kathleen A.
