Beyond your everyday quilt, this piece of sewing mastery is conceived on a scale to match the buildings it commemorates, at 8 feet high by 30 feet wide. All 50 states are represented by panels on the quilt, put together by the Steel Quilters of the American Steel Corporation.
Thomas Chambers (1808-1869): American Marine and Landscape Painter

One those artists fated to not have their talent truly recognized pre-mortem, Chambers' work is now on display in all its bold, lively and colorful glory. The exhibit features a number of objects such as ceramics, furniture and books alongside Chambers' paintings as an exploration of his inspiration and contemporary audience. Curated by Kathleen A. Forster.
