Back to Regal Shanghai East Asia Hotel Underrated hotel...Very nice When I walked in, I didn't believe for one second that this was only a four star hotel. The service was great, the breakfast was fantastic and the whole atmospher was atleast of five star caliber. The hotel is conviniently located next door to the Shanghai indoor and out door stadium(literally). The rooms were large with a unique and fun design. The only bad side, depending on where you want to go is the location. Because the hotel is connected to the stadium, it is quite a far walk to the main street, meaning you either have to take a taxi everywhere or a 5-15 minute walk to the subway or bus stop. And even then the hotel is located on the southern tip of the city, so be prepared for long bus or taxi rides. But if you do not feel like even leaving the hotel, great news, because there are a range of shops and stores located just around the bend from the hotel.

BUT, if there are more than two persons in your party, you must be very specific about how many beds you need prior to your arrival. If not they will charge you additional money for another bed. The room with King bed is very spacious. The morning breakfast buffet was very good and had a great selection of both American and Chinese dishes. Did not have other meals there.
