Formerly known as Berkshire Music Center, the Tanglewood Music Center draws over 35,000 visitors annually. This venue has a plethora of events to offer. There are concerts by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, weekly chamber music concerts, Prelude concerts and Open Rehearsals. The Festival of Contemporary Music is also held annually. There are also daily concerts held by the talented musicians of Tanglewood Music Center. The music ranges from rock to classical, contemporary and pop, making this music festival sui generis. Seasoned professionals have an added advantage as there is a fellowship program for those who have completed a formal training in music.
