Back to Park (The) Worst service in India We received terrible service in general from the whole staff. The rooms were not clean, they charge extra for every single thing and the rates are very expensive. Overrated and overpriced.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 01 2008 Great Delhi Hotel My family and I stayed at the Delhi Park in December 2005 we all really liked the modern hotel in such a traditional city. Wonderful staff and great rooms with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The room service is great. Loved the Hotel will definately go back!
Reviewed by: Yatisha from on Aug 16 2007 Den of Wankers! Avoid at all costs! The staff endlessly 'inform' you that the place was designed by Conran. He must have been having a joke! It looks like a bad 1980s disco on acid - and this is as good as it gets. The place was dirty, the service poor and the staff overly consumed by their own self importance. We were informed that the 'best delhi-ites' were to be seen at the horrible wanker bar and over rated self important Indian eatery. We were the only people there apart from an inattentive and arrogant staff! The room was a post-industrial nightmare with no privacy for ablutions or any sense of comfort. Ignore the advertising and stay elsewhere. Indians who have never left Delhi may find this 'special' but the rest of us will grate at the premium price and poor service. Avoid!! The Rambagh Palace in Jaipur is amazing though...worth every dollar!!

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 26 2007 Service and Staff Definitely Not 5 Star This hotel is not up to the 5 star level on the service and staff side. Stayed for 1 night. The room was dirty, bed sheets were dirty, and bathroom has not been cleaned since last guest. Unclean toilet and open shampoo bottles. The reception staff is very rude and arrogant. Definitely not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Worst experience was at check out, the porter who came to take the bags down from the room checked the mini bar and insisted that we have eaten some snack bar. He even checked the waste bins in the room and made a big fuss about the incident in the room. We said we did not even open the mini bar during the one day stay and requested to produce a mini bar list which was not available. The porter left and we expected the reception would bring it up at the time of check out but they did not seem to know about it. I believe it was an attempt by the porter to obtain some money. Very bad experience and would not stay here again !
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 28 2006 Too much techno music For the last three nights the Park Hotel has run a disco at the pool with really bad techno-lounge music. No problem, except the soundproofing on the rooms is very poor so guests are forced to listen to the music. I have complained to the management and staff and, though they were friendly, they took no action. At $200+/night this is not acceptable.
