The Engine Exhibition Hall, its most impressive display, houses 20 steam engines from all over the globe. A DB1 miniature steam locomotive from America, the museum's oldest, dates back to 1907. And there is also a rare Japanese SL 7 steam locomotive built by Suzuki. The Popular Science Exhibition Hall is also a crowd pleaser and is known to make visitors ponder about the marvels of machinery and why this museum is located in the Shenyang Botanical Garden.
