If you were to be deposited into this old town area while blindfolded you would swear, after the blindfold was removed, that you were standing in downtown Munich. Nicknamed the "Architecture Museum" it boasts more than 200 different architectural styles ranging from German to Dutch. The tiny lanes that vein this area are draped with cypress and peach and crabapple trees, lending it a botanical garden quality. The area's name translates into "Eight Passes," named after China's most noted mountain passes. Admission is free.
