Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 07 2007 Disappointed at first We had just landed in Sydney and we needed to kill a decent chunk of time until our hotel room was ready. We were just walking around the city when I saw the aquarium and suggested we go. When we first went it I thought I had picked a horrible place to go and thought my friends and husband would ban me from picking anything else. That was until we went to see the sharks! It was really interesting.
Reviewed by: mary from on Jul 23 2007 overrated It is overrated, not worth the admission fee, certainly a money spinner by the queues of tourists ,perhaps thats all it is meant to be.A much better bet is the Manly aquarium ;It is not such a feeling of mug tourist; The staff are friendlier too!Perhaps Sydney Aquarium is suited to overfed yanks ,it is afterall just a stagger back to the block of flats they call cruise liners today.Brian.
Reviewed by: brian from on Jul 19 2007 An interesting tour of THE SEA I enjoyed my visit to the Aquarium, but at the end of my day found it a lot to take in all at once. The larger pools, seals, etc. were nice to see. The poor croc seemed a bit cramped in his little habitat. I found the twisting/turning tunnel-like access to the larger pools, although a good use of limited space, a bit tedious, especially when the crowd was thick. But informative is the operative word at this venue! Everything here you need or want to know about fish, the sea, Australia's marine and waterlife.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 15 2007 Excellent Good value. Excellent layout. All the exhibits were in excellent condition. Do not miss this if visiting Darling Harbour. It makes aquariums in England look tacky. (Especially Brighton - yuck !)
Reviewed by: Ken from on Jun 01 2007 It's ok... ...if you can't stand mobs of kids screaming then you might want to skip this place. It's a madhouse. The tunnels where you watch the sharks and the seals are pretty cool.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 21 2007 Fantastic! The walk through tanks were unforgettable! As you walked in the fish and sharks were swimming above you, it seemed as though they were flying. They were much larger in person! I could have spend the entire day there, plan to stay atleast 3 hours as the tanks are worth taking your time.
