Every year in August, the Venetian Lido is the venue for an international triathlon, which attracts triathletes from all over world. The event includes a 1.5 kilometers swim, followed by a 40 kilometers track by bike to Malamocco and back, and as always it finishes with a 10-kilometer run. Participants - only members of national sports associations; should be very careful about their bicycle handles, since not adhering to the strict regulations may result in disqualification. A party including pasta, live music and even belly dancing accompanies the prize ceremony at night. Admission is free.
