From July through Labor Day Weekend, this growing six-week festival offers all forms of jazz in all types of settings. Jazz fans can attend outdoor concerts at the base of Vail Mountain, check out a show in the close atmosphere of a Vail restaurant, or even hear performances in the acoustically brilliant Vilar Center. Past jazz greats have included Regina Carter, Houston Person, and three-time Grammy nominee John Clayton. The festival culminates with a three day Labor Day weekend celebration. Make sure to check out Jazz at the Market, a free afternoon concert series that is held weekly at the Vail Farmer's Market on Sundays in July. Check out the website for performance schedules.
