This arcade is one of the jewels of the capital's shopping complexes. In the heart of the retail district, this mix of galleries, cafes and speciality stores is on the historic site of the former Bank of New Zealand. The original Victorian and early Edwardian buildings have been sensitively restored to offer a unique shopping experience. Check out the arcade's centrepiece - a large musical clock which hangs from the ceiling. On the hour, petals on the clock open to reveal animated historical scenes, together with accompanying commentary.
