When you get to the top of lookout mountain their is a little mountain park great for a road side picknic before turning the corner to the grave and museum.

make sure to ascend the mountain from 19th street in golden, as opposed to the I-70 side. a great quick mountain fix if time is limited. can reach mountain top in under a half hour from downtown denver - lots of hairpin curves and views. recommended.
