William F. Cody, known to the world as "Buffalo Bill," was buried here on Lookout Mountain above Golden in 1917. He attained fame through his "Wild West" shows which he performed all over the world. A collection of artifacts that has been hidden in the back room of the collector is seeing light at the Buffalo Bill Memorial Museum & Grave. Butcher Auguste Hermans' collection includes decorative items he purchased from the 1935 Brussels World Fair. The collection, popularly known as "ghost collection", is displayed in the 'grave'.
