It is a transport and leisure complex that stretches for 15 kilometres by the River Plate, from Olivos to the Tigre delta, stopping at eleven stations, each one with its own history and special theme. The original British carriages have been totally refurbished, to provide the highest comfort to the traveller. There are all kinds of shops, food establishments and fruit and regional product markets at each stop, which manage to share the space without altering the original architecture of a bygone Buenos Aires. Each carriage is air-conditioned and has a tourist guide and a maximum capacity of 80 passengers.

EXTRAORDINARY
Hi, I love to travel and usually go to pedestrian friendly destinations and let me tell you what a surprise when I arrived at Tren de la Costa, its like linear mall where you can hop from station to station with the same ticket, each of the "turn of the century" picturesque stations has a charm of it's own with it's plazas, cafes, antique shops, movies, boutiques, restaurants and more cafes where exquisite espressos are the norm, and the pastries…, just awesome! The icing of the cake is when it arrives at the village of El Tigre, starting point of the magnificent Delta, an area is dotted with week-end homes, hostels and restaurants and a variety of recreational complexes which offer food, lodging and entertainment, or simple picnic space, sort of a Venice of the Western Hemisphere since vehicles are absent. Here I'd recommend taking a tour in one of the commuter mahogany launches reminiscent of the roaring twenties along it's web of connecting rivers and streams where English style rowing clubs, countless marinas and large mansions from the Belle Époque dot the area.
