Trendy and Young... Not Necessarily A Good Thing
We had high hopes for the Hotel Monaco that were received with mixed reviews. The hotel itself is very beautiful, much like the bright and crazy hotels you might find at a quaint B&B in Las Vegas. Valet parking offered at $24/night, but parking across the street at a meter is free. Caution though, the ladies right next to us ended up with a $20 parking ticket for parking at the wrong meter!

Hotel Monaco a small treasure!
We like quirky, boutique style hotels and the Hotel Monaco did not disappoint. We loved the pet friendly atmosphere and enjoyed checking the dog-shaped chalkboard to see who had checked in every day (our favorite name was Dew-Dew!) The dogs are even invited to the free wine social in the lobby every night.

Save your money.
The Monaco was way overpriced and the room was a lot smaller than what we reserved. Everything in the honor bar is also overpriced, more so than most hotels. There is a 7-eleven 2 blocks away, but beware, the neighborhood is riddled with homeless people. There is only valet parking and they charge $24 for that. Not to mention the valets acted like a bunch of children. Save your money and find a better place for less.

Great Wedding; Bad Customer Service
I had my wedding at the Hotel Monaco and while the wedding was beautiful, the Panzano bar staff were horribly rude to our wedding guests. It marred an otherwise wonderful night.

Expected Better!
We stayed at the Hotel Monaco for New Year's Eve. There are lots of things to like about the hotel, comfy beds, clean room, great wine reception and a pet friendly atmosphere.

Beautiful and Stylish
Loved the decor, lots of original flair and the rooms were great. We received a gift from the hotel of expensive scotch and wine that was put together in a beautiful basket. The staircase is great.

Fabulous and Pet Friendly
The Hotel Monaco is the friendliest and trendiest pet friendly hotel available. THe assistant manager brings his italian greyhound to work each day. He hangs out in the lobby like a little prince. Our puppy was pampered with his own faux fur throw and complimentary cookies. If you don't have your own pet, the hotel will provide a goldfish for company. We loved the chic decor and the restaurant is outstanding!
