To say the view is breathtaking is a understatement. But if you go at night, when the city is all lite up, its beautiful. Besides the very curvy drive up/ride up, there is no cost involved. The woods along the sides were also used in the filming in lord of the rings.

I've been there a few times and all I can say is that I think its great and awsome and the view is just stunning.

Friendly locals. I drove there, but there's a streetcar that may be worth taking to get to Mt. Victoria.
