One of Manchester's longest established Mediterranean eating places, Efes is popular for both its food and the top quality live entertainment provided by their in-house musician Hakan and belly dancer Ayse. The interior is warm and friendly with lots of painted archways, dark wood beams and blue upholstered chairs and wooden tables. The food is classic Turkish cuisine with a wide range of kebabs including beyti - marinated lamb - and pilic, which is charcoal-cooked chicken, both at around £9. Alternatively, they provide a fantastic 17 dish banquet, with a little taste of everything, for £14.70.
