Big Hands is a quirky, fiercely independent take on the Manchester bar and clubbing scene. Owned by the people behind the infamous Temple of Convenience, it is in a perfect location on Oxford Road close to the universities. A long, narrow interior gives the place an almost subterranean feel as it opens out to a smallish dance floor and DJ booth to the rear. There is always something going on with regular indie and alternative dance nights, live bands and even the occasional off-the-wall cabaret evening.
