Andrew Nutter is one of the country's most famous and dynamic young chefs. This ex-pub is tucked away in a beautiful, somewhat remote moorland location on the main road between Rochdale and Bury. Inside it is warm and welcoming with a comfortable, traditional feel highlighted by the peach walls, restrained lighting and friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent, although a touch expensive. The Nutter signature dishes include chicken breast with a stir fry breakfast: diced bacon, black pudding and mushrooms and a port wine sauce. Try rum and raisin creme brulee with apple sorbet for dessert.
