Back to Myrtle Beach Convention Center Nice but chaotic The hotel was spacious and had a restaurant/bar/lounge/coffee shop even a in house masseuse. It was not as close to the beach as the initial photos and description would have one think. You will need to cross the four lane road in front of the hotel, walk a block to cross Kings Highway an another block to Ocean Blvd. It's good exercise but if you plan on hauling tots you best put them in a wagon. The hotel was packed with unsupervised kids, they were in the computer area, took up the pool and hot tub from open to close and even took over the work out facility. The only peace I could find was in the bar when they weren't running in an out ordering food. The hotel also allows pets so dogs could be heard barking and were seen throughout the hotel, some not as mannered as others. I paid extra for an ocean view, but I could have saved the money considering how far away we were. It is a nice hotel and I would stay again, just not when it's a holiday weekend and every parent has kids and pets in tow. The staff were very friendly and I was pleased that they had a licensed massage therapist available for appointments. That ended up making my stay worth the other hassels.

Clean, well organized, safe parking & well lit, great traffic flow. I'm sure other events is just as well laid out. Concession venue is good, buffet for bluegrass festitval is always exceptional. Can't wait to get back. Been going at least twice a year for apx 10 yrs.
