The first state park in South Carolina, Myrtle Beach State Beach is in the heart of Myrtle Beach. It has 312 acres of oceanfront and is one of the last natural areas in this area. Spend just a day or rent a campsite or 2-bedroom cabin and stay for the whole summer. The Nature Center has displays of animals, fish, plants and flowers of the area and an easy-to-hike nature trail which is only 3/4 mile one way. This park also has a store, gift shop, playground, and fishing form the pier or surf.
