Aesome
I loved this place. Very clean and very friendly. The rooms were a little small for the big beds but doable. I'd definetly stay there again!

A good try
I called Marriot reservations to get out of a fairfield inn that didn't have the amenities ( free high speed internet and a pullout bed in the room) I requested and they suggested this hotel. This hotel was very clean but the AC froze up on the first night and we had to move at 2am to another room. The next day when we returned to the hotel at 1230am no room service had come to clean up or exchange our linen or towels. After calling room service they brought the wrong number of towels up to the room, also even though I specifically complained about the lack of free high speed internet at the last hotel this hotel had $9.95 per day internet service. The rooms look nice but there was to much hassle with the lack of things I just expect from hotels and no place to hang your towels in the bathroom.

Not Business Friendly
E-mail access costs are ridiculous. $9.95 per day per room and $295.00 hook up fee for conference and $75.00 per vendor per day is absolutely unreasonable. My friends and associates will here of your policies.

comfort..summa cum laude
This was a perfect locale in Asheville; everything downtown was a stroll away. I'll visit again...soon. The rooms were clean and great for a family of 4...(2 young children). May I suggest the Southern eggs benedict for breakfast???

best place to stay in asheville
We always stay here - rooms are clean, service is good and the location can't be beat if you want to be near downtown. Yes - you are paying for location, but the hotel is decent too - pretty average for the price

They don't want customers!
I couldn't believe it. I called to get a reservation, they had rooms available but when I was transfered to "customer service", I was told there was a 2 night minimum. This was in the afternoon of the night I wanted to stay. When I asked if they were just going to let rooms stay vacant rather than have someone there for 1 night- I got a very uncaring "yes". What genius thinks it's better to leave rooms empty. So much for customer service, they don't want your money.

Great Stay
Fantastic hotel. Very clean and safe. The only problem I experienced was that the two young people at the desk were not very helpful/friendly. Otherwise, everything was great.

Convenient Location
The Renaissance's convenient location is in walking distance to some of Asheville's nicest restaurants, historical sites, theaters and quaint shops. You are merely steps away.

Eh
The picture on the TV was lousy and the hotel bar was closed at 11:30pm on a Saturday night. Don't get me wrong the hotel was FINE.....but for $150, i want it to be perfect.

Great location, okay amenties
location is great; easy walk to restaurants and shops. Nothing spectacular about the rest of the stay, but nothing bad either
