This is the dirtiest and misleading place I have ever seen. I arrived there hoping to have a great time because the website made this place look like a great place to stay. The water park was nothing like it appeared to be and neither were the buildings. After arriving and seeing the dirt and the disgusting room, I demanded my money back. They said it would take 7 days. I took all my copies of the paper work and left. I called the Crown Resort and they took me in. If you want a great place to stay, stay at the Crown Resort on the south side of the beach. I stayed there last year and had a great time. But I wanted to try sands out because of the water park for my son. NEVER AGAIN! I will never leave the Crown Resort again. It has lots of pools and big lazy river right in front for you to enjoy. They grill beside the pool and it is a relaxing place for families to enjoy their vacation.So if you want to stay is nasty disgusting trashy place, stay at the Sands Resort. It is nothing like the website makes it out to be.

When we decided to stay in North Myrtle last year, we looked through our "Stay & Play" guide from the Chamber of Commerce. We looked at many hotels, but for some reason, the Best Western Ocean Sands kept coming up. We finally decided to make our reservations for the Ocean Sands. Our stay was from August 5 - 12.

We liked the location and the price. The beach was exceptionally wide. This is a family hotel. The staff was nice and the room was clean. We felt very safe. The area was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. We came the day after Christmas and left on New Year's Day - A great time!!!

The contin breakfast does not have the quality like other hotel provide,the rooms are not clean. Need to get vaccuitom daliy. Also the hallway where I found many dots. The staff are not friendly as we ask to swich room, they deny our request.

Stayed over the weekend of 6/9 - 6/11. Room was clean, great view of the beach/ocean, the kitchenette was nice to have also. Most of the parking is across the (not very busy) street. The staff is very nice. The pool is adequate and there is a Tiki bar for snacks & refreshments. The only problem during our stay was that the elevator was not working much of the time including when we arrived. Wasn't very much fun lugging our stuff up 9 flights of stairs.

Very inexpensive hotel......Great location! Great location! We recommend highly! The staff was very friendly! We will be back soon. What more can I say?

Loved the fully supplied mini-kitchens in the rooms. We really saved on dining out! Great beach location, nice pool, nice big rooms with plenty of sleeping space.

The rooms were dated, dingy, and dirty. We requested the sheets be changed and they were not. The location is fine, the beach is great, and the pool was fine, but overall it was too dirty to go back to.
