I love Oakwood!
I just took a Segway tour (Triangle Segway) that included Oakwood and it was the best way to see the neighborhood! Gorgeous neighborhood and a fun tour!

The people make it special!
I stayed at the Oakwood Inn in 1996 while passing through Raleigh on vacation to the outerbanks. I walked two blocks and a very nice man on Jones St. invited us in for refreshments and shared the history of Oakwood. In 1998 I moved to Raleigh and Oakwood impressed me again with their hospitality as another kind person on Bloodworth poured us glasses of champagne. Moving to Oakwood has been my reason for staying in Raleigh, my closest relatives are in Louisiana and my other family has become my neighborhood. Oakwood has impressed my parents as well and they plan to move here as well.
