The library, part of the Rotunda Gallery was built in 1921. When it opened its doors, the 'Bangkok Times' wrote, "this magnificent building is a grand palace on a small scale". Today it stands as the oldest foreign non-profit entity in Thailand, displaying 20,000 volumes on impeccably crafted solid teak shelves, including a great collection for children. Many famous authors, such as Margaret Drabble, Paul Theroux, Frederick Forsyth, Jeffrey Archer and Jung Chung, have given talks here. Readings for kids are conducted on Saturday mornings.2 ¢/min and up – call home from over 100 countries!http://travel.comfi.com/Best Value. Best Escape. – Escape to Tampa Bay!
