This large lake could be an exquisite place to escape the dust and heat of the city if it were not for the fact that it is rather polluted. As it is, Boeng Kak with its cafes and guesthouses has become a rallying point for backpackers in search of a USD2 room, cheap beer and a hammock to drink it in. Street 90 to the south of the New Mosque has a number of pleasant bars with bamboo pavilions over the water from which you can watch the sun set over Wat Neak Kavaan on the other side of the lake.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York!
